The Carlin Complex, the largest of the Nevada Gold Mine complexes, comprises several growth projects, six underground mines, three active open pits, four refractory processing facilities, three heap leaches, and three active tails storage facilities. There are approximately 3,480 employees plus contractors.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with production and maintenance supervision, along with other outside departments, to ensure environmental compliance and the safe functionality of the plant's operation and equipment maintenance.
- Work on projects through all aspects of experimental design, engineering, forecasting, funding, construction, and commissioning.
- Continue to develop automation of data collection.
- Provide technical assistance and analysis to process group stakeholders.
- Be familar with strategic business planning and propose process improvement to maximize cash flow.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Process-related degree required
- Knowledge of the principles and methods used in metallurgical and processing analysis with some practical application is highly preferred, as is process optimization experience.
- Ability to research, analyze information, draw conclusions, and take action to resolve operational environmental issues, permit compliance, and problem resolution from an operating plan status required
- Proficiency in multiple software applications and network platforms preferred
- Able to learn how to manipulate and analyze large datasets programmatically
- The ability to work with PowerBI, Tableau, or set-up databases would be well-regarded.
- Experience with the analytical instrumentation and theory of ion exchange is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work in a team environment that creates and enhances the Barrick vision through understanding and capturing future opportunities
