RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for casting and refining processes.
• Drive operational efficiencies by cultivating a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and waste reduction.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance safety and operational best practices.
• Create and optimize material charging procedures to minimize material costs while maintaining product quality and maximizing machine uptime.
• Oversee testing and quality assurance protocols related to raw material procurement.
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations in support of product quality assessments and claims.
• Collaborate with engineering and management teams to identify opportunities for capital investment and lead projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, increasing the use of recycled materials, and automating labor-intensive tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including thermodynamics, physics, material strength, failure analysis, and basic metallurgy.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and meet deadlines.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, or Chemistry required.
• A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is preferred.
