Fabrication Associate
PrideStaff, a firm specializing in recruiting for Central Oregon businesses, is seeking a Fabrication Associate for an established company in Bend, OR. The right candidate for this position will possess great attention to detail, move quickly, comfortable and the ability to self-direct, and experience in a production, fabrication or manufacturing environment. This is a full-time long-term position to get your foot in the door with a great company! Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, starting at $18/hr with room for growth.

Fabrication Associate Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare steel for fabrication
- Sort and Assemble parts of the product
- Includes measuring and cutting steel on a variety of machines including cold saw, band saw, ironworker, and drill press
- Welding may be required
- Operate a forklift
- Implement “best practice” packaging methods, ensuring the safe transportation and delivery of products
- Package products and accessories for national and international shipments
- Photograph product and upload photos to the company folder
- Responsible, for loading and unloading material and parts
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain quality requirements
- Inspect the quality of materials and parts for conformance to requirements.
- Maintain clean, safe and organized workspace and warehouse
- Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Fabrication Associate Requirements:
- 1-2 years of previous experience in production and manufacturing preferred
- Strong desire to learn, continuously improve and push personal limitations
- Understanding of basic blueprint reading
- Knowledge of packaging precision and high-value parts for safe delivery
- Demonstrated history of accomplishing tasks with intent
- High attention to detail for accuracy
- Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude with a strong work ethic as well as work independently
- Flexible and adaptable to work in changing environment
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Computer savvy, accurate typing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Ability to read measurements in metrics, volume, kilograms and understand conversions
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a semi-regular basis
- A proven work history of delivering great quality of work
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours

Supervision: This position has supervision. Teamwork is essential to work towards a common goal.
Basic working conditions: The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time. The employee must be able to work successfully in a team. The employee must be able to stand, stoop, or crouch for long periods of time.
