POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt
GENERAL HOURS: Varies
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: In collaboration with the Merchandising leadership team, manage and maintain proper merchandising standards and procedures at all customer accounts. Directly supervise a team of sales merchandisers ensuring proper training, staffing levels, and job performance for all direct reports. This position is considered a safety sensitive position as defined by the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Testing Program as allowed under the State of Oklahoma House Bill 2612 (aka “The Unity Bill”).
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES (this is not all-inclusive):
• Ensure merchandising team is properly trained and understands the product rotation process and performance standards.
• Responsible for daily merchandising scheduling and ensuring all assigned routes are completed timely and efficiently.
• Conduct random account spot check surveys and provide appropriate feedback to merchandising team.
• Report and/or act upon opportunities discovered in assigned accounts.
• Maintain a collaborative and communicative relationship with all departments involved in servicing the same customer accounts.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all customers.
• Assist with route coverage and cooler resets as needed.
• Serve as a mentor and coach to merchandising team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Communicate and cooperate with all departments of the company to further efficiencies and ensure the smooth operation of the company as a whole.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all customers, co-employees, and management.
• Know, understand, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Promote company goodwill in all areas, assist others and perform tasks as appropriate and/or necessary to help maintain the positive image of Capital Distributing in the market.
• Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
• Maintain a current and appropriate driver’s license.
• Maintain a reliable personal vehicle and timely submit mileage through Motus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent targeted experience
• 6 months of Sales or Merchandising experience required
• Management experience preferred • Strong computer and technical skills
• Must be organized and able to prioritize
• Capable of strategic thinking and planning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to drive, sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, push or pull 25 to 50 lbs; up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to bend down, twist, and reach overhead
• Must be able to crawl and/or climb a ladder
