About the Job
Burlington is seeking a Merchandise Project Manager located near Chicago or Houston to help support our growing business! In this role, you will provide merchandising support with direction from the Sr. Merchandise Project Managers for the territory, regional and district teams. The MPM will ensure that all corporately sponsored projects including new stores, and all capital projects are completed in a timely and effective manner, leveraging district and field teams. You will develop communication methods and tools to enhance the applications of new directives. Additionally, you will support district and store teams through training procedures of merchandising execution, new stores and special projects as well as enhancing store standards.
A Day in the Life:
- Territory Support
- Provide support throughout projects guiding efficiencies and best practices, elevating overall results.
- Be the liaison between fixturing and graphics
- Store visits to support all merchandising opportunities
- Teach min/max throughout the territory
- Communication with Corporate & Field Partners:
- Participate on territory conference calls to focus teams on effectively communicating current directives
- Partner with DM to communicate new store floor plan changes, advise /support how to execute in store
- Align with Sr CML to provide insight and add clarity from a store/field perspective
- Support all new AP directives that apply to merchandise and communicate any issues, opportunities or concerns
You’ll Come With:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or Liberal Art or commensurate field experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience with project management and strong merchandising skills
- Multi-unit experience
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and store personnel
- Flexible with changing deadlines and ability to multitask
- Strategic and organized approach to meeting project deadlines
- Must be comfortable with heavy, consistent travel
