Role: Merchandise Production Coordinator
Location- IRVINE CA
Duration- Long Term
HARD SET END DATE DURING OFFER FOR 3/31 with potential extension based on business needs and performance
Hours: 2-4 days per week and 16-32 hours per week and 8-5 with flexibility and varying based on business needs
This will be a hybrid position with about 1 day in office per week in IRVINE CA.
WHAT'LL YOU DO:

WHAT'LL YOU DO:
- Coordinate lifestyle merchandise projects for DTC channels
- Coordinate development and production with merchandise vendors
- Request samples and follow up on production schedules with vendors.
- Coordinate internal product requests (ie: event product launch, employee benefits, belonging groups, etc)
- Maintain Development tracker and Material Master data accuracy.
- Support with product SKU creation process (style #, color codes, generate UPC, etc)
- Assure product commercialization / compliance for global resale into all channels (testing, legal, copy, etc)
- Maintain product creation timelines with cross functional teams including design studio, strategy, marketing, comms, digital, retail, ops, etc.
- Consistently provide a high level of customer service to Rivian staff, vendors, business partners and guests while at times, being the client interface.
- Meeting coordination and conference room reservations & set-up, as needed.
- Attend meetings, if necessary, for taking minutes and documenting other information.
- Managing workload - prioritizing work and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Bachelor's Degree required. Merchandising, Apparel and/or retail experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in apparel/merchandise production, product development, project/vendor management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong knowledge of retail math calculations.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively and creatively within a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong math and computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and respond with timeliness.
- Resourceful and able to research problems and recommend solutions.
- Trend and fashion awareness with ability to understand current trends, competition, and market.
- Proficiency with conferencing systems (Rivian is Zoom-based)
- Flexibility and ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently.
