Position Overview:

As a Porter at Mercedes-Benz Van Center in Riverside, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our dealership lot remains clean, organized, and professional. You’ll help maintain our vehicle inventory’s appearance, assist with lot organization, and ensure that every vehicle is presented in the best possible light for our customers. General Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Care and Movement: Safely handle, move, and park customer vehicles and dealership inventory while ensuring proper care to uphold dealership standards.
• Vehicle Cleaning: Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, including washing, drying, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces. Apply wax and tire shine as needed to ensure vehicles are clean and visually appealing.
• Lot Organization and Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free parking lot and dealership premises, arranging vehicles according to lot plans and ensuring high-visibility display of marketable inventory.
• Inventory and Key Management: Monitor vehicle movements, manage keys, and promptly replace sold vehicles with new inventory while maintaining accurate records. Ensure vehicles have the correct factory and addendum stickers and display accurate selling prices.
• Customer Assistance: Assist customers with vehicle pick-up and drop-off to create a smooth and positive experience.
• Reporting and Compliance: Promptly report any issues with vehicles, keys, or lot organization to the supervisor, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• General Support: Provide assistance to dealership staff with other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience: Prior experience as a porter or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Driving Requirements: Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least two years and have a clean driving record.
