Job Details
Responsibilities:
Ensure thorough understanding of all general contract and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
Manage job estimate knowledgeably and ensure work is executed within estimated boundaries.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan and evaluate the Construction Program, encompassing procedures, job site layout, equipment, and workforce.
Develop and maintain updated progress schedules, ensuring alignment with Project Manager, Engineer, and Purchasing to ensure project deadlines are achievable.
Advise the Project Engineer on temporary construction service requirements for the project.
Review drawings and specifications for potential design flaws, impractical details, and code violations, forwarding observations to the Project Manager for architect notification.
Supervise and train Votum's staff and oversee field office administration.
Provide oversight of job accountant activities.
Foster staff growth through performance evaluations, diversified assignments, and promoting positive project morale.
Collaborate with Project Manager and Purchasing to schedule and expedite timely delivery of materials and equipment provided by subcontractors.
Coordinate, oversee, and monitor subcontractors' and suppliers' activities, ensuring compliance with permit requirements and insurance obligations.
Coordinate and, if necessary, direct inspection agency activities, taking corrective actions based on agency reports.
Manage labor relations on the job site, seeking assistance from PM or Operations Manager when needed, and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.
Establish and uphold comprehensive safety and security practices across the project, adhering to Votum's safety program and relevant codes.
Prepare regular and special reports for Job Meetings, attending meetings as required.
Keep the Project Engineer informed of field changes that may affect contract modifications, including general contract and subcontract change orders.
Authorize, validate, and process all Vendor Directives, T&M tickets, and similar documents involving changes.
Review and approve monthly estimates of completed work, material invoices, and other disbursements.
Participate in timely preparation of monthly requisitions, ensuring prompt review and approval by Architects or Owner's field representative.
Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including the public.
Report to and take direction from the Project Manager.
