Summary
- Working onsite with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing field crews and supervising subcontractors in the construction of an EV Battery recycling facility.
- Working onsite with the union field crews and supervising subcontractors in the construction of the project.
- Supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsibilities may include assisting with interviewing and training employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage several Foreman on conducting work safely, productively, and focusing on quality.
- Interface with on-site crews to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of the overall project schedule.
- Ensure project activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
- Provide technical support for construction efforts including participation in planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, etc.
- Assist with controlling job costs and production budgets.
- Set a Safety 24/7 culture for your crews.
- Assists the Project Manager in creating the Primavera P6 project schedule.
- Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews.
- Oversee costs associated with your work items.
- Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling, and material needs for crews.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical experience progressing through the ranks as a Journeyman to a Foreman to a Superintendent.
- 6+ years of similar construction Field Management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied self-performing trade disciplines.
- Ability to ensure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
