Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent will oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations on construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to facilitate successful project execution, particularly in sectors such as healthcare and data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all MEP activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of project activities and progress reports.
- Ensure the safety and efficiency of MEP systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Lead a team of MEP tradespeople and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent in construction, particularly in healthcare and data center projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
