MEP Project Manager (Commercial HVAC/Mechanical Construction design-build) - Southland Industries Inc.

Position Summary:

OurProject Managers are experienced in commercial HVAC and Mechanical Construction and likes the challenge of unique designs, projects and deadlines.You will beable to run jobs big and small, coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously, while also providing leadership toproject engineers and partnering with our field staff to ensure flawless project delivery. You will alsomanage projectmilestones, identifying and coordinating resource requirements.One of themost importantskills sets you possess is the ability to exercise a high level of judgment and workautonomously within company processes. You are willing to learn the Southland way of doing work and are eager to learn from others at all levels of the organization. The experience you have allows you to have a short learning curve, but does not present a barrier to learning new things. In fact you are excited to learn about our company, teams and processes and see opportunities to share you past knowledge to help your team be more successful when it makes sense.You are not afraid toroll up your sleeves and execute all levels of project management activities and responsibilities; you are not someone that can’t perform without support staff.Finally, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are looking to work with multiple teams to accomplish our division and project goals.

What you’ll do:

• Develops client relations by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Managed budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other report as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience
• Proven ability to manage small teams
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel

 Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (California) this ranges from $110,000 - $145,000 plus annual incentive, benefits and retirement program as outlined above.
