MEP Project Manager
Our client is looking for a skilled MEP Project Manager to oversee and manage their Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee MEP projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client specifications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions in real time.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings, documenting decisions and action items while fostering open communication among team members.
- Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
- Prepare and present project status reports, change orders, and other documentation to clients and management.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager (5+ years preferred) in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, design principles, and installation practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
