CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an MEPProject Manager to join our Commercial & Institutional - Buildings/MEP Team at our office in either Colonie, NY or Syracuse, NY

The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of projects within the group. Primary functions include interfacing with the market teams, client and project teams. The individual in this role will work effectively and efficiently to complete projects within the scope, budget and schedule. The MEP Project Manager is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial or logistical issues that may arise.
More specifically, duties of this role include the following:
Responsible for preparing proposals including development of scope, schedule and budget by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff
Responsible for meeting the clients needs and addressing issues that arise during the project
Develops and determines projects tasks through coordination with technical task managers
Responsible for developing a comprehensive project schedule and communicating updates to the client, management and project team; manages project completion through project scheduling, expediting of required submissions and the management of the document submittals/approvals; exercises judgment and discretion and implements project controls while maintaining project quality
Responsible for coordination of contracts with client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents
Develops project plan and Quality Management Plan as required
Conducts regular project progress meetings with client manager and provides progress reports to project team
Communicates with project team and technical task managers so that the project is being delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible per the contract documents
Maintains electronic project directory including all relevant project information including contracts, subcontracts, invoices, critical correspondence and general project files
Prepares for and attends monthly Project Review meetings with Operations
Responsible for all project financials including revenue, multiplier, gross margin, budget, forecast, cash flow, subcontractor billings/payments, and manages project to maintain positive cash flow throughout its life cycle
Reviews, manages and approves subcontractor payments
Manages subcontractor selection process and executes subcontractor notice to proceeds
Develops project specific health and safety plan (HASP) in coordination with health and safety manager and communicates the plan with the project team; monitors compliance with the HASP by the project team
Responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan
Responsible for preparation and submission of project close-out documents for the client
Provides a high level of service and responsiveness to client and co-workers

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Planning, Engineering Management or related degree required; Masters Degree preferred
Building design experience directly involving building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) preferred
PE or equivalent professional license preferred
PMP certification preferred
2+ years of experience required; 1+ years of technical task management or Assistant Project Manager experience required
Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
Organized and detail-oriented

Strong communication skills both oral and written
Ability to multi-task effectively

SALARY RANGE::
$74,000 - $90,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
