We are seeking an experienced MEP CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR for a full-time position located in Seattle, WA.
As an MEP Inspector you will ensure that buildings meet local and international building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations, ensuring occupant safety and legal compliance. You will be responsible for inspecting the construction and operation of buildings and infrastructure.
The MEP Inspector will be responsible for the complete understanding of the review of plans and specifications, including interfaces with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm and Civil consultants (where applicable).

We are seeking an experienced MEP CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR for a full-time position located in Seattle, WA.
As an MEP Inspector you will ensure that buildings meet local and international building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations, ensuring occupant safety and legal compliance. You will be responsible for inspecting the construction and operation of buildings and infrastructure.
The MEP Inspector will be responsible for the complete understanding of the review of plans and specifications, including interfaces with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm and Civil consultants (where applicable).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Work along-side reliability engineer to develop programs and processes aimed at improving the performance of MEP systems for our accounts.
- Assist with technical aspects of root cause analysis on failed commercial MEP equipment and develop strategies to prevent future failures.
- Collaborate and work cross functionally with teams across the account to provide program development support.
- Utilize computer programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to effectively communicate and summarize findings.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality results.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP QA/QC inspection in the aviation industry with experience in construction on airport projects.
- Exceptional skills in performing equipment inspections and summarizing findings.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and/or programs.
- Proficient in using computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook for data analysis and communication.
- Strong attention to detail and a drive to produce high-quality results.
- Must be Seattle (or Washington?) Licensed electrician.
- Must be able to pass Security Clearance.
- Technical training and/or certifications (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, or other industry-related certifications) are preferred.
- Experience in developing inspection checklists/ programs.
Work Environment:
- The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.
- The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.
- Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
- May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
