Essential Duties:
- Ensure well-coordinated scheduling of assessments ensuring mental health treatment on demand.
- Provide and document individual supervision at least monthly to mental health treatment staff and interns across FGC sites. Provide weekly supervision to new staff and interns using tele-conference and phone meetings where needed to support staff. Provide group supervision at least monthly to all mental health staff at all sites.
- Provide structure for intervention planning appropriate to the clinician’s knowledge and experience using a developmental supervisory model.
- Conduct Medicaid title 140 compliant utilization review for mental health services and ensure documentation of utilization review.
- Integrate FGC evidence-based practice goals into supervision, ensuring models such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and Trauma-Informed Care are demonstrated in interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention, directly working with staff and patients when needed to assist a patient in immediate crisis (e.g. in need of hospitalization).
- Provide and document formal clinical competency reviews for mental health staff using FGC approved format and help staff define learning and training needs as well as the development of future learning goals.
- Contribute as appropriate to clinical trainings related to populations served and for ongoing integration of evidence-based practice.
- Provide direct mental health services to partial caseload and (e.g. assessments) when needed to support treatment on demand. Ten hours of clinical service per week.
- Participate in weekly orientation, providing an overview of mental health services to new hires.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30a - 5:00p) with rotating Saturdays
Pay Rate: $55,000

Experience and Skills:
Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree in social work or master’s in clinical counseling (e.g. M.S. or M.A. in Counseling, MHS with concentration in mental health counseling, Masters in counseling psychology) required. Experience with substance use treatment, mental health, and dual-diagnosis is required. Knowledge of and experience with Medicaid title 140 (previously 132) mental health service guidelines preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: State of Illinois State of Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or State of Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) required. Current driver’s license and auto insurance required.
