Compensation range is $75,000 - $80,000 per year and will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

The Assistant Program Director is responsible for the coordination of all admissions into the program. They are responsible for documentation training and all documentation chart reviews. They should work directly with the MM to ensure all charts are up to date each day and all documentation is complete. The Assistant Program Director consults with the Administrator/Director and may consult with the Operations department on an as needed basis (however, receives direct supervision from the Program Director/Administrator), to ensure the best, most efficient utilization of program and company resources.
The Assistant Program Director closely supervises all daily milieu activities and ensures that the house runs on the posted schedule each day. The Assistant Program Director collaborates with the Administrator/Director to develop a program of in-service training and continuing education for the counseling staff.
Responsibilities:
- To supervise all milieu activities to ensure that all services are in keeping with the Discovery Mission Statement.
- To supervise in collaboration with the Administrator/Director the Counseling treatment staff.
- Collaborates with The Administrator/Director to implement continual quality improvement activities for the treatment program.
- Participates in the interview process with the Administrator/Director in a collaborative fashion to determine the appropriateness and qualifications of prospective counseling staff members.
- Will arrange with the admissions department and coordinate with the facility all admissions and ensure they are completed.
- Is available by telephone evenings and weekends & manages crisis or emergency transfers as needed.
- Completes and/or oversees completion of monthly medical record reviews, per the Medical Record Review Policy.
- Ensures feedback and retraining is provided to staff based on medical record reviews, as indicated to address deficiencies identified in the monthly medical record reviews.
- Evaluate and apprise each member of the counseling staff, completes a written narrative (annual performance review) clearly identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals for the coming year. Counseling reviews are forwarded to the Human Resource Manager.
- When indicated facilitates disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Administrator/Director, the Operations Department and if indicated the Human Resource Manager.
- Works with the Administrator/Director to arrange staff coverage to meet the needs of the program.

Qualifications- Master’s degree and or Doctorate preferred.
- LMFT, PhD, PsyD, or LSCS (or state specific) License required.
- Two years’ experience in acute, residential, outpatient or hospital setting. Must have some management experience
