Job Summary: The Concession employee is responsible for pleasantly greeting guests while filling beverage orders. This role involves operating the Point-of-Sale system, collecting sales for purchased merchandise and beverage items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and take orders for beverage and merchandise products.
- Prepare simple beverages following company portion standards to maintain quality and consistency.
- Check and validate proper ID for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Accept payments from guests, ensuring accuracy.
- Keep the work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards.
- Memorize the product menu available at each concession location.
- Assist in cleaning up and breaking down the concession area at the end of the event.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Operate POS and beverage systems (e.g., Kegerator, Frozen drink machine).
- Ensure all work areas in the concession area and the commissary kitchen and equipment
- are cleaned and properly stored, utensils are cleaned and put away, and the floor is swept and mopped at the night's end.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that generates a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) related to POS credit transactions, reconciliation, and product inventory.
Rate of Pay: $14.00 per hour plus tips. This position typically works a 35-hour work week.
