Membership Sales Supervisors serve as leaders on the Membership Sales team. They are responsible for supporting daily operations at the Member Center and ensuring kiosk and seasonal staff are trained and supported. Supervisors serve as a front-line member service team, and are pivotal to ensuring members have the best possible experience while at the zoo and for supporting membership acquisition strategies on-grounds. Supervisors will collaborate with the Membership Growth Manager to ensure the on-grounds membership team is working together to meet revenue goals in support of the overall membership strategy.
Essential Job Functions:
Member Center Customer Service and Operations (40%)
- Responsible for securely opening and closing the Member Center daily, including ensuring finance and security procedures are followed, and the Member Lounge is clean and organized
- Serve as a front-line customer service presence at the Member Center, assisting with parking vouchers, fulfilling membership card and will call requests, processing membership, ADOPT, donations, and ride tickets sales
- Stay abreast of zoo early closures and events, and ensure all kiosk staff are aware so this can be communicated to members and guests on-grounds
- Serve as an additional contact for member customer service questions via the member hotline and. This includes answering membership questions and escalating any issues to the relevant staff member as needed
- Ensure membership packets and ADOPT inventory remains stocked
- Use Raiser’s Edge to record member card requests and verify and update member records, ensuring member data is carefully reviewed for accuracy
- Support Grounds and Maintenance teams with tasks such as towel cleaning and miscellaneous projects as needed
Kiosk Staff Support (40%)
- With support from Membership Growth Manager, oversee daily operations of kiosk staff, including covering breaks, monitoring weather, counting donations and reviewing kiosk sales paperwork before releasing staff from their shifts
- Prepare financial reports such as daily sales tracking log sheets and weekly Membership safe counts, and submit to finance and accounting teams in a timely manner
Membership Team Support (20%)
- Assist Senior Membership Coordinator with ADOPT fulfillment to ensure ADOPT packets are ready for Member Center use
- Complete other duties as assigned by Membership Growth Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Approachable, calm, customer-focused demeanor
- Willingness to problem solve member/donor questions and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge software (constituent record management)
- Utmost discretion in handling confidential data
- Foster culture of mutual respect, collaboration, transparency, that allows all team members to feel included, valued, and appreciated
- Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to evolving priorities and urgent needs
- Working knowledge of Ticketure
- A fundraising/development/customer service mind set
Additional Responsibilities:
- Availability to work special events which may occur outside of regular work schedule as assigned
- Some physical labor required for transporting items on-grounds
- Must be able to work seated in front of a computer for extended periods of time
- All Lincoln Park Zoo employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Availability to work 3-5 days a week(shifts lasting 6-8 hours)
Wage: $17.75 per hour plus opportunity for bonuses
