About the Job
The Membership and Annual Fund Associate is responsible for supporting the philanthropic and fundraising efforts of the institution. The position will primarily focus on administrative support duties and customer service related to the museum membership and the annual fund.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

INSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Museum’s mission, values, and vision;
- Contribute to and support the OMCA strategic plan, annual priorities, and institutional initiatives such as diversity, equity, and inclusion;
- Contribute to a positive organizational culture based on mutual respect, a spirit of collegiality, cooperation, and openness to many perspectives;
- Participate in a culture of ongoing learning, collaboration, innovation, anti-racism, and community engagement
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Membership and Annual Fund Gift Administration
- Process and acknowledge gifts including new memberships and renewals, tribute, annual fund and matching gifts from corporations
- Process requests for in-kind membership donations
- Enter guest passes and discount codes into Raiser’s Edge for membership acquisition
- Maintain accurate membership and donor constituent records
- Work collaboratively with Development staff to achieve new, renewal and lapsed Membership goals
- Maintain paper and electronic files for individual gifts
- Import and export member and Annual fund data between ACME and Raisers Edge
- Run routine SQL queries and data audits
Member Relations
- Serve as primary customer service representative for the Membership telephone line during business hours
- Serve as secondary representative for membership email support
Other Administrative
- Support department with general administrative functions as needed
- Assist department with event administration and facilitation as needed
- Serve as department’s Asana power user and representative on org-wide Asana User group
EXPERIENCE
- Affinity for customer service and commitment to treating others with dignity
- Experience and comfort with engaging with diverse populations and practicing cultural competence
- 1-2 years of related experience
- English language proficiency in both spoken and written form; second language (particularly Spanish or Chinese) is desirable
- Administrative and customer service experience, preferably with nonprofit membership or fundraising
- Professional phone etiquette with the ability to problem solve, research situations and upsell while maintaining high Member satisfaction
- Relational Database or Non-profit CRM experience (i.e.Raisers Edge, Tessitura, Salesforce) strongly preferred
- Project management experience and strong organization skills
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Smartsheet and Google Suite
- Proficiency in business writing.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies

- Ability to travel between OMCA locations, and other travel as required by position responsibilities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
