Member Service Representative - Rockland Federal Credit Union

Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance and member service by processing a variety of transactions, i.e., cashing checks, depositing and/or withdrawing funds from accounts, accepting mortgage and consumer loan payments.
• Maintains cash drawer and balances work daily by proving all transactions against computer printout. Maintains adequate cash supply by purchasing/selling cash to vault.
• Assists Head Tellers with branch reconciliation by adding checks, money orders, treasurer's checks, Visa payments, etc.
• Works toward Credit Union sales goals by remaining alert to member needs and continually cross selling products to members.
• Interviews and advises loan applicants relative to needs and qualifications. Prepares all loan documents and closes loans according to established guidelines after approval. Processes shared secured loans according to established procedures. Provides rates and repayment schedules on all types of loans.
• Opens new accounts of all types in strict accordance with established security procedures and types of related correspondence. Redeems U.S. Savings Bonds.
• Responds to Member inquiries regarding ATM and Credit cards, including card creation, blocking cards, PIN changes and member disputes.

Requirements:

• At least two (2) years of experience within the financial services industry with previous supervisory/leadership experience.
• Demonstrated sales skills and ability to promote a sales environment.
• Strong accuracy and attention-to-detail.
• Positive/professional approach with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and solve problems.
• Strong proficiency with systems and software packages, including Microsoft Office.
• Work schedule flexibility is required.

Schedule: Full Time; 40 Hours/Week with rotating Saturdays
