As a Tipmont member services representative, you will deliver courteous communication and supportive assistance regarding all electric and fiber-internet services offered by Tipmont through phone calls, email, online chat and in-person interactions. We’re seeking someone comfortable with communication, quickly adaptable to changing circumstances, and always driven to assist Tipmont members with outstanding service that embodies honesty, integrity and respect.
Duties that intrigue you include:
- Providing effective, accurate and courteous customer service to members, vendors and visitors
- Facilitating day-to-day processes for payments, billing, service requests, memberships, capital credits, account adjustments, ancillary products, and other services
- Securing, researching and assembling data to process various service orders and payments
- Developing a strong working knowledge of all organizational services
- Anticipating issues and addressing needs proactively to offer solutions
- Determining appropriate, policy-driven actions to minimize risk
- Expressing skills in critical thinking and analysis
- Supporting collaboration and communication with a positive attitude
- Identifying and suggesting positive improvements to process

Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of general office practices, record-keeping and computers
- Considerable skill to communicate with people under sometimes difficult circumstances
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with basic information and data in developing reports
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
Preferred Skills
- Associate’s degree with prior work experience in a related field
- Three years of billing and member / customer service responsibility
- Bilingual, preferably in Spanish
- Knowledge of rural electrification and cooperative programs
