EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Successful completion of high school diploma or GED. A minimum of six months’ experience in cash handling and customer service.
SKILLS AND ABILITITES:
Ability to operate routine office equipment; typing at 35 words per minute minimum.
Must have demonstrated ability to interpret and explain Credit Union policy and transactions posted to members' accounts and to adhere to policy.
Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products and services offered to membership and demonstrated ability to cross-sell/refer such products and services effectively.
Interpersonal skills to represent Credit Union positively in dealing with members and teller transactions.
Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with management, supervisors, and staff.
Must present a professional, business-like appearance and manner.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Must be bondable.
WORKING ENVIROMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office/branch setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the inside of the office and vault.
Frequently move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the office for various needs.
Requires the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Requires one to position self to maintain files in file cabinets.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position while assisting members (majority of workday).
TRAVEL:
Travel to different worksites is required at times.
Must have reliable transportation.
HOURS:
Hours vary depending upon branch coverage; Monday through Friday, 8:15 am until 6:15 pm; Saturdays 8:15 am until 1:15 pm.
