About the Job
The Land O'Lakes, Inc. Meetings and Experiences team is responsible for the successful procurement, planning and execution of Land O'Lakes enterprise meetings and events for internal and external audiences. From inception through completion, the Meeting and Experience Associate will oversee a portfolio of small to mid-sized meetings. In addition, this role will collaborate to design event collateral and lead the registration and attendee management process in partnership with the lead Event Manager on larger programs.
- Comprehensive Event Planning & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of small- to mid-size events, overseeing budgets, vendor negotiations, timelines, and logistics. Ensure alignment of event goals with organizational objectives, while providing on-site leadership for select domestic and international events.
- Strategic Event Design & Production: Design and produce high-quality event materials, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite to create brand-aligned assets. Lead the development of event-specific mobile apps through Cvent.
- Logistics Oversight and Communication Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of the registration website development process using Cvent. This includes managing timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a seamless and user-friendly registration experience for all attendees. Design event communications, including attendee communications, email invitations, confirmations, and program materials, ensuring consistent messaging throughout the event.
- On-site Operations Expertise: Provide on-site operations expertise, serving as the primary contact for escalations, making real-time decisions, and ensuring the smooth execution and success of the event.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Lead the procurement of event promotional items, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional meetings and events or relevant work experience.
- Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and advanced Word and Excel)
- Ability to travel onsite (up to 25%). Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed).
- Multitasking and project management skills
- Must thrive in an environment of fast-pace, rapid change, and competing and changing tasks.
- May require standing for long periods, walking great distances and ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs
- Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 25%.
- Organizational awareness and knowledge of corporate standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams to meet deadlines
- Ability to work and communicate professionally with all levels in an organization
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Preferred Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Communications, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Creative services and graphic design experience using Adobe Illustrator preferred
- Cvent Event Management software experience strongly preferred
