Hours: Part-time, shifts Sunday - Monday, 6:00am-2:00pm and Friday - Saturday, 2:00pm-10:00pm or Full-time, Friday - Monday, 10:00pm-6:00am

Position overview:
Medication Aide provides medication assistance and personal care to the residents of the community, following the guidelines provided by Evolve Senior Living.
We are hiring for part-time, days
Responsibilities:
· Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.
· Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.
· Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
· Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
· Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.
· Complete documentation per Evolve Senior Living standards to ensure that all care services are provided and that resident needs are met.
· Participate in narcotic count at shift change, ensuring accurate documentation of inventory count.
· Completes administration of medication as directed ensuring compliance with
“Rights of Medication Administration”.
· Participates in weekly medication cart audits, as assigned.
· Assists in re-ordering of medication.
· Maintains cleanliness of medication room.
· Ensures that all new medication orders are faxed to the pharmacy to obtain medication in an accurate and timely manner.
· Inform families when mail order medicines need to be reordered.
· Follows Physician Order Protocol to ensure proper processing of orders.
· Document and report any resident change of condition/status per policy.
· Assists in creating and maintaining of resident charts/care files.
· Participates in community Wellness Programs as assigned.
· Obtains and records residents’ vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration), weight, as directed.
· Observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
· Schedules doctor’s appointments based on the needs of the resident.
· Assures call lights are answered in a timely manner to attend to the residents needs as soon as possible after the call light is signaled.
· Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through LMS system- learning management system.
· Addresses associate, family, and resident concerns to promote satisfaction and good communication.
· Is fully knowledgeable of the fire evacuation and disaster policy of the community and participates as assigned in fire and disaster drills.
· Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal and health information concerning residents and staff.
· Demonstrates an understanding of compliance and ethics program policies and procedures.
· Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state and federal regulatory training as
· required.
· Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
· Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
· Medication Administration training/certification per state requirements.
· Must meet all health requirements.
· Experienced Caregiver of Certified Nursing assistant certification per state requirements
· CPR certification.
· Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.
