Shift/Schedule: Sun-Thurs, Tues-Sat, both day shift and 2nd shift, or both weekend days and 4 10s (Thurs-Sun, Fri-Mon, Sat-Tues)

Responsibilities:
- Conduct various lab tests (nucleic acid isolation, microarrays, PCR, qPCR, NGS) using automated/manual methods.
- Perform lab tasks: extractions, library prep, reagent prep, plating, data analysis, inventory management, and quality control.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment (e.g., KingFisher, Hamilton MicroLab Star, MiSeq).
- Follow and enforce SOPs for specimen processing, safety, and accurate results.
- Maintain accurate records using Good Documentation Practices; address protocol deviations.
- Participate in quality control/assurance activities and recommend process improvements.
- Train and supervise lab assistants and other staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Proficient lab skills: micropipetting, dilutions, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Familiarity with lab information systems and computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, FDA, and OSHA compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: ASCP, AMT, AAB, or equivalent.
- Clinical lab experience in molecular biology, microbiology, or genetics.
- Proficient with lab equipment: Thermo KingFisher, QuantStudio, Hamilton MicroLab STAR, Illumina MiSeq/iSCAN, Agilent Bravo, and Tecan Freedom EVO.
