Medical Records Supervisor - A First Choice Staffing Service

Supervise all Medical Records staff. Prepare electronic medical records for upcoming appointments when needed. This is not a training position, must have at least medical records experience as well as supervisory or lead experience. Epic is a plus, but not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor the quality and quantity of work completed by Medical records staff.

2. Receive sick calls from Medical Records staff and adjust coverage as needed

3. Monitor the daily operating activity of the department and make necessary adjustments in work assignments

4. Recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

5. Assist the COO with interviewing candidates

for Medical Records positions.

6. Assist the COO with Medical Records staff evaluations.

7. Review promptly any disciplinary issues with the COO. The COO and/or CEO will determine the need for disciplinary action and outcome.

8. Monitor medical records staff for compliance with company policies.

9. Manage PTO coverage within the department.

10. Develop and review with the COO any new procedures/policies that will improve the quality and quantity of work processed. Once the procedure/policy is approved, insure it is communicated to the appropriate staff and administered consistently.

11. Assist medical records staff with day-to-day operational issues.

12. Communicate with providers and staff in a professional manner regarding medical record issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Ability to interact professionally with patients, maintaining confidentiality.

Knowledge of basic telephone etiquette and operation of office equipment including fax, copier, and printer.

Basic to moderate computer literacy including

Windows environment.

Skills in identifying problems and prioritizing work.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday thru Friday

Pay: $19.25 - $28.49 per hour

Must be at least 18 and able to pass a drug screen and background check.
