Position Summary:
The LPN Medical Records Director oversees patient clinical records, including coding, auditing, and staff education on recordkeeping. This role also serves as the Privacy Officer, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Credentialed as RHIA or RHIT, or a degree in a health-related field with HIM training

Training in post-acute care health information management

Active LPN/LVN license in good standing

Specific Job Requirements:

Proficient in complex computer systems

Advanced knowledge in health information management

Ability to make independent decisions

Knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines

Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships

Adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct

Essential Functions:

Clarify physician orders and communicate with nursing staff

Audit patient records for compliance

Serve as Privacy Officer for HIPAA compliance

Utilize ICD 10 CM and CPT/HCPCS coding

Supervise medical records staff

Exhibit excellent customer service

Participate in patient evacuation and interdisciplinary teamwork
