Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated® firm designated one of the “Best Companies to Work For” is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to join their growing team. This role will be on site and based out of our Woodbury Office.
Job Duties
- Manage, organize, and analyze medical records for legal cases.
- Review and highlight relevant information on medical records.
- Assist attorneys and paralegals in identifying critical medical issues and timelines.
- Input and manage medical records data in the firm’s case management system.
- Analyze and flag inconsistencies or missing information in medical documentation.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and clients to facilitate record requests.
- Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure all records are obtained for case preparation.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and firm policies and protect sensitive information regarding the handling of medical files.
- Manage the retrieval and distribution of records for depositions, hearings, or trials.
- Prepare medical records exhibits for court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
- Assist in preparing medical chronologies or summaries for use in case evaluations.
- Other duties, as needed, to support firm and office operations.

The total compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
