Job Title: Medical Records / Health Information Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records / Health Information Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage resident medical records and health information systems, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage the medical records department, ensuring accurate and secure documentation.
• Collaborate with various departments to maintain and update resident records.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of medical documents, including assessments, progress notes, and lab reports.
• Support the MDS Coordinator with assessment scheduling.
• Handle requests for medical records from authorized personnel and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
• Maintain and update the facility's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Qualifications:

• Two years Experience as a Medical Records Clerk
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to type 45+ words per minute and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computers and data management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with occasional movement throughout the facility.
• May require extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
