  A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL RECORDS COORDINATOR/CENTRAL SUPPLY/TRANSPORTATION CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

As a Medical Records Coordinator/Central Supply/Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!  The Driver is responsible for transporting clients for scheduled routes and trips. Performs routine safety checks and care of vehicles.

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for maintaining resident medical records in accordance with Mission's policies and state/federal regulations. The Medical Records Coordinator will establish a record prior to admission, maintain a master file for both in-house and discharged residents, collect information from the nursing staff, therapists, physicians, and other sources to keep records current, monitor and audit records for completeness and accuracy, and informs the Administrator and Director of Nursing Services of deficiencies in documentation.

Must comply with applicable regulations of the KS Dept of Transportation.  Escorts clients as needed to and from vehicle.  Reads and understands schedules and special trip requests.  Transports groups on trips as assigned.  Follows all applicable laws, company procedures and normal precautions regarding the prevailing weather and road conditions.  Properly restrains wheelchair passengers.  Performs vehicle maintenance and care.  

Central Supply will order medical supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) 

• Current driver's license with a driving record clear of revocations, suspensions, and cancellations in the past five years.
• Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current Kansas certification/registration to practice.
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to pass hiring standards, a valid state dl license check, criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Desire to work with the elderly.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time health care position works 8-hour days, typically Monday-Friday subject to transportation needs.
