Medical Record Staff Member Huntington, IN 46750 26-week assignment

Our client, a healthcare entity in Fort Wayne, IN, has an immediate need for a Medical Record Staff Member in the Health Information Management (HIM) dept. at their Huntington, IN, location. This staff member will work Tuesday - Saturday -or- Sunday - Thursday 8:00am – 4:30 pm with no weekends required and business casual dress code. The assignment will last at least 26 weeks with possible temp-hire.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday -or- Sunday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm

General job duties, responsibilities, expectations:

Responsible for:

• Retrieval, distribution, and maintenance of medical records and documentation
• Maintenance of chart tracking system to provide the current status of information for easy and accurate retrieval
• Answering phone lines and covering HIM department
• Acts as a positive representative of our client
• Accountable for all medical records in the form of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or paper charts
• Will use basic computer skills, fax, and copier to perform duties

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical terminology preferred
• 1-2 years' experience preferred, but not required
• Customer Service background
