Location: 1500 Route 112, Building 6C, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greets patients as they arrive and manage appropriate standard wait times

• Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include patient demographic verification, insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents

• Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts

• Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies

• Processes walk-in patients and visitors

• Periodic disinfection/cleaning of lobby area

• Answers phones and schedules appointments

• Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed

• Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)

• Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public

• Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

• 1+ years of experience in a professional healthcare/medical setting

• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office

• Ability to work in the departments 2^nd location once per week at 575 Underhill Blvd, Syosset, NY 11791

• Ability to work 40 hours per week between Monday-Thursday

• Monday 9am-7pm

• Tuesday 8:45am-5pm

• Wednesday 8:15am – 6:30pm

• Thursday 8am-6pm

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English & Spanish

• Receptionist experience

• Dermatology experience

• EPIC experience

Soft Skills: 

• Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone

• Reliability & timely 

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $16.00 to $27.31 per hour.
