What you"ll do
This role involves serving patients by welcoming and assisting them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Patients and visitors are greeted warmly, whether in person or over the phone, with all inquiries answered or directed appropriately. Scheduling appointments efficiently optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room use. Patient appointments are kept on track by alerting the provider upon patient arrival, comparing actual service delivery to the schedule, and notifying the provider of any delays.
The position ensures patient comfort by addressing their concerns, responding to questions, and upkeeping the reception area. It involves maintaining patient accounts through the accurate recording and updating of personal and financial information.
Revenue is secured by managing financial records, processing patient charges, overseeing patient credit, and handling third-party claims. The role also includes maintaining the inventory and equipment of the business office, managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and arranging for equipment servicing and repairs.
Additionally, the role involves assisting patients in emergencies, safeguarding patient rights by keeping personal and financial information confidential, adhering to policies and procedures, suggesting necessary changes, and contributing to the team"s efforts by achieving required results.
