MUST:
2 solid years of medical office experience in a private practice
Strong customer service skills
Experience registering/checking patients in and out
Strong scheduling experience
Ability to process referrals and track them
Experience using EMR and strong computer experience
Ability to translate for Spanish speaking patients
DUTIES :
Scheduling appointments and registered patients for vaccines
Check patients in
Verify insurance
Registering patients in EMR system
Answering phones
Providing customer service
Responds to inquiries, and directs callers to appropriate area
Processes and tracks referrals in a timely manner
Greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors with courtesy and discretion, providing exemplary customer service
Accurately enters confidential personal health information and financial information into EMR.
Detects and corrects errors, completes forms, obtains needed information and maintains logs and files
Collect co pays and payments, apply to accounts and make adjustments
Reconcile daily cash reports
Manage files, initiates and replies to record requests
Perform fee scale functions.
Assists in coverage for other areas
Performs other tasks as needed
Handle translations for Spanish speaking patients
