MUST:
2+years of experience as a Medical Assistant and medical receptionist experience
Comfortable working front and back office
Pull medical records
Rooming patients
Reviewing histories with patients
Pull medical records for physician prior to appointments
Pre-registering telehealth patients
Check patients in and register
Verify insurance
Document information in EMR
Room patients
Assist with exams and take histories
If not registered or certified willing to become so
Ability to administer injections and EKGs
Ability to learn new skills easily
Must be able to take vitals
Must have strong experience utilizing EMR
DUTIES:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Perform selected clinical and administrative duties
Obtain vitals
Assist with exams
Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for procedures, including cleaning and sterilization
Take messages for doctors
Assist with scheduling of appointments
Maintain patient files, records and other information
Complete appropriate documentation on all patients
Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with supervisors, staff a patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service
Maintain an orderly and professional working atmosphere
Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress code
Perform prescription related duties such as refills, prior authorizations and scheduling patients as required
Provide customer service
