Front Desk Coordinator Employee – Busy Cardiology Practice
We are a fast-paced, well-established cardiology practice seeking a highly organized and personable Front Desk Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front office and providing excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will be cross trained in various administrative duties and thrive in a busy medical environment.
We are searching for a high energy candidate to fill the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk role at our N. McDill Avenue, Tampa office. The candidate must be enthusiastic about serving our patients in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Answer phones, address inquiries, and route calls as necessary.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
- Process referrals and authorizations for patient care.
- Collect outstanding balances and copays at the time of service.
- Keep the waiting area clean, organized, and stocked with beverages.
- Ensure patient information is accurate and up to date in the system.
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams for smooth patient flow.
- Coordinate and schedule follow-up visits for patients seen in the hospital.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a medical office or cardiology practice preferred.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be cross trained in multiple administrative duties, including referrals and authorizations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional, friendly demeanor with exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and other office technology.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- eClinicalWorks EMR medical records system knowledge (this is mandatory)
Compensation:
Hourly range: $15.00 0 $18.00/hour based on experience
