Medical Payment Posting Specialist - TEKsystems

Required:

• 2-3 years of related experience in cash posting and reconciliation (medical revenue cycle)

Description:

This position is responsible for correctly applying all types of payments and adjustments that are posted and batched daily.

• Resolves all unapplied accounts within ten days of deposit and ten days post close of the prior month.
• Resolves all reconciling items within one week of deposits, escalates appropriately to ensure this deadline is met and when barriers are encounter.
• Resolves all deposit reconciling items through the prior month within 5 business days post month end close resolution and correct application.
• Posts Misc Cash to correct accounts timely and documents all identifying information on all misc. or unapplied cash postings to ensure timely
• Correctly applies patient share, and completes balance transfers as appropriate
• Post refunds, write offs, payments and contractual adjustments.
• Reconciles cash posting to deposit log.
• Completes and distributes daily cash reports
• Research and clear unapplied accounts.
• Research and resolve unmatched EFT report.
• Ensures that QA/productivity score is at 98% overall.
• Process credit card payments and post charge backs.
• Posts denials, zero pays and correspondence by internal coding on a daily basis.
• Correctly applies all denial and deductibles by internal coding daily.
• Creates insurance and self-pay refund packets as appropriate.
• Reconciles individual batch totals and daily posting totals.
