POSITION SUMMARY:
In collaboration with Operations Manager, supervises staff and Clinic resources ensuring physician and customer satisfaction, compliance and attaining financial targets. Works closely with manager to establishes and implement departmental mission, goals, strategic plans and objectives that support the Health System mission.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Associate Degree Health Care program required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. RN required. At least three years of Oncology Nursing experience preferred. At least two years experience in a lead role or Supervisor position preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois. Within two years of hire Oncology certification required. OCN preferred. BI-annual CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Strong leadership, training and organizational skills. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff within the organization and community. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Knowledge of oncology specific pharmacology, admixture and cytotoxic side effects and policies. Demonstrated skills in venous access techniques and specific oncology technical resources.
