About the Job
Medical Office Receptionist Job Duties: Welcome patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Responsible for maintaining a calm and efficient environment for fielding phone calls, answering patient questions, scheduling new and follow-up appointments, registering new patients and updating records. A medical receptionist is the touchstone for both the staff and patients of a healthcare practice.
The business duties of a receptionist may include answering visitors' enquiries about a company and its products or services, directing visitors to their destinations, sorting and handing out mail, answering incoming calls on multi-line telephones, filing health records, and other tasks.
The following skills are required:
- Effective communication. A receptionist should have excellent verbal communication skills and an outgoing positive attitude.
- Professionalism. Ability to organize, file and manage paperwork and digital files.
- Interpersonal aplomb. Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with colleagues, always keeping the patient high priority.

- Organizational abilities.
- Technical capability, and ability to learn new computer systems.

SHIFT: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (subject to changes)
REQUIRED:
Must be fluent in Filipino, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Thai to support patients and guests who do not speak English.
Strong organizational skills.
Must have working knowledge of email, Microsoft Excel, Word.
Must be able to learn new computer filing systems.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
