About the Job
The Medical Office Associate performs a variety of clinical activities, under direction of a Physician or Registered Nurse, and administrative and clerical duties to support the effective and efficient operations of the Clinic.
• Highs School Graduate or GED
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program Licensed by New York State Department of Education
• Successful completion of a course in billing – HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Direct patient care experience
• Previous experience in and knowledge of clinic operations, patient registration/scheduling
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Moderate to strong data processing, computer and typing skills. Computer data entry
• Ability to meet public, communicate clearly on the telephone, interact with patients, staff and other hospital departments
• Must speak English proficiently. Legible handwriting
• Ability to document and retrieve information from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Bilingual Arabic / English – PREFERRED
