Medical Malpractice Paralegal at Nagler Group

Are you a self-motivated paralegal with experience in medical malpractice & trial preparation looking for a new opportunity? In this Medical Malpractice Paralegal role, the successful candidate will demonstrate high competence in the firm’s day-to-day litigation practice needs, with a focus on medical malpractice. Responsibilities include:

• E-filing legal documents (state, federal and appellate courts)
• Calendaring dates and managing court reporter services for depositions
• Processing, compiling and maintaining medical authorizations
• Preparing draft correspondence to clients, counsel, courts, etc.
• Formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
• Editing legal services invoices & processing expenses
• Making travel arrangements
• Answering phones & managing incoming mail

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ medical malpractice litigation experience
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures
• Experience preparing applications for admission to state and federal bars
• Experience maintaining calendars for a busy defense litigation practice
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Attention to detail & excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient typing skills
• Excellent time management & compliance with deadlines
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Collaborative mindset
• Availability & willingness to work overtime as needed (infrequent)
