A leading law firm in Denver is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join our Medical Malpractice Department. This role is ideal for professionals with 2-7+ years of experience who excel in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment and are passionate about delivering top-tier support to attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and file legal documents electronically.
- Organize and maintain detailed medical chronologies and prepare medical records summaries.
- Draft, edit, and proofread motion and discovery shells and manage motion filing.
- Coordinate depositions, expert consultations, and trial preparations.
- Assist with trial, mediation, and appellate brief preparations.
- Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks, and other legal professionals.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements.
- Process payment requests and manage client billing processes.
- Maintain organized client files and contact records.
- Utilize document management systems such as iManage and calendar court deadlines with tools like Outlook/LSS.
- Edit, manipulate, and prepare PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat.
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical malpractice is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar.
- Knowledge of state and federal court filing processes and deadlines.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to anticipate problems, identify solutions, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a business or legal-related degree is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with iManage document management system and Outlook/LSS calendaring.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex medical documentation.

Salary: $60,500 - $70,500/yr.
