Join our distinguished litigation firm, recognized for its remarkable stability, cohesive culture, and longstanding commitment to employee satisfaction. With very little turnover and a genuine lack of a revolving door, our team takes pride in creating an environment where people love to work. As part of our growth initiative, we are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to contribute to our success. While we are primarily a defense side firm, we welcome candidates with plaintiff medical malpractice experience.
Responsibilities:
Case Management:
Oversee a caseload of medical malpractice matters, maintaining the firm's high standards from case inception to resolution.
Trial Preparation:
Prepare and manage cases for trial, demonstrating expertise in medical malpractice law.
Client Interaction:
Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address concerns, fostering positive client relationships.
Carrier Relations:
Maintain relationships with approved carriers, adhering to their guidelines and requirements.
Billing and Productivity:
Meet or exceed the firm's billing expectations, with an annual target of 2100 billable hours. Attorneys exceeding this threshold may be eligible for higher bonuses.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the New Jersey Bar with active and good standing status.
5+ years of relevant experience in medical malpractice law.
Trial experience is highly preferred.
While we are a defense side firm, we welcome candidates with plaintiff medical malpractice experience.
Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
