We are seeking a skilled Medical Malpractice Defense Associate to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a dynamic practice group dedicated to defending healthcare providers in complex litigation.
Role Focus
This position offers the opportunity to represent healthcare institutions, physicians, and other medical professionals in a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on:
Litigation and Case Management: Handling all aspects of medical malpractice defense cases, including initial case analysis, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
Client Representation: Working closely with clients, including hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers, to develop case strategies and provide exceptional legal counsel.
Legal Research and Writing: Drafting persuasive motions, memoranda, and legal opinions to advance client objectives.
Court Representation: Participating in pre-trial proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Collaboration: Partnering with attorneys across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions for our healthcare clients.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following:
Experience: At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on medical malpractice defense or healthcare-related matters.
Skills: Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Credentials: Strong academic background, showcasing a commitment to legal excellence.
License: Admission to the Connecticut Bar is required.
Attributes: A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
