Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking aMedical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientistto join our team!!
**Schedule: 6AM-2:30PM, 1PM-9PM (as needed) - Occasional Weekends**
Medical Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:
·Responsible for the performance of services provided by the clinical laboratory.
·Perform laboratory testing with accuracy and precision before reporting.
·Maintains instruments as required per schedule to ensure integrity and precision, documents maintenance.
·Performs and reviews QC to validate test results. Follows defined protocol for investigating out of control runs; implements and documents action to be taken.
·Reports result in a timely manner and notify proper personnel of all critical and alert values immediately. Documents these actions.
·Participate in continuing education programs and hospital in-services.
·Any other tasks or services deemed relevant to your area.

Required Skills
Education/License:
·Preferred certification as MT (ASCP)ASCP.orgor equivalent (AMT or NCA). All CLIA88 prerequisite education and/or experience requirements applicable to testing personnel are required.
·Basic Life Support Required within 90 days of hire.
·Degree in Medical Technology, which includes a one year supervised clinical internship in an approved laboratory; or equivalent education.

·Knowledge of clinical laboratory tests and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, which includes a one year supervised clinical internship in an approved laboratory; or equivalent education
·Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Technologist / Technician / Clinical Laboratory Scientist
·Interpersonal skills necessary to report results to physicians and patient care personnel and to assist in overseeing and training others, for up to 20% of work time.
·Analytical abilities necessary to perform calculations, calibrate instruments, and relate test results to normal healthy state and to presence of disease or other conditions, which may alter test results.
