This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking a patient-focused, team oriented Front Office employee to join its team. Our staff works together in taking care of our patient's needs and has been doing so for decades. Must be Bilingual.

General Summary of Duties: Responsible for greeting patients. Checking patients in and out and scheduling follow up appointments as needed. Accountable for overseeing the flow of the front office.
Essential Expectations:
Open office and arrive to work on time and be consistent with attendance.
Answer the phone within 3 rings.
Greet patients professionally and check them in.
Collect payments and make sure everything balances at the end of shift.
Scan new patient paperwork.
Get updates from existing patients and verify demographic information.
Call no show patients to reschedule. Task/route the physician or medical assistant with the reason and outcome of the patients no show.
Keep up with tasks assigned via UroChart.
Check batch accuracy at the end of every shift and fix and problems with monies collected the day before.
Make sure the office mail gets out daily.
Check patients out, schedule follow up appointments if needed and give patient the handouts according to the procedure.
Process co- payments from the patients at the time of check in.
When referring patients out set their appointments up while patient is still in the office.
Call in lab and diagnostic orders for patients and /or give patients lab slips.
Make 2nd confirmation phone calls for the next day.
Work the bumped list as assigned.
Close office.
Order office supplies.
Willingness to work overtime when requested.
Conduct self in accordance with Las Vegas Urology's employee manual.
Maintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Requires standing and walking for periods of time. Some bending, lifting, and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations. Involves contact with patients. Occasional pressure due to multiple patients being seen by the doctor.

Performance Requirements: Knowledge of the Front-Office procedures. Skill in operating the practice management systems. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to handle stressful situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Be the face of the practice and excellent customer service is a must!
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
1 - 3 years experience in a medical office
