Delray Eye Associates is seeking an energetic, patient-focused File/Medical Records Clerk for our multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Delray Beach, Florida. Our ideal candidate will have medical front desk/receptionist experience, preferably in ophthalmology, optometry, or another medical specialty.

As a File/Medical Records Clerk you will be responsible for clerical duties including but, not limited to filing, labeling, retrieving and scanning medical records.
Responsibilities:- Distribute medical charts to the appropriate departments
- File all patients' medical records and information
- Complete clerical duties including answering phones and responding to emails.
- Retrieving patient charts
- Organizing charts according to the doctors schedules
- Filing returned charts
- Matching lab work, operative reports, and telephone messages with correct patient charts and delivering them to appropriate staff
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role a plus but, not required.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of EHR preferred, but not required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Team-player, strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Must have the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or stress.
- Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, communication, telephone and grammar skills.
- Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours and be and use a ladder to obtain files
- Must be able to type and write legibly
