Medical Charge Entry Specialist - TEKsystems

Job Description



+ Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems


+ Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement


+ Ensure compliance with billing regulations and guidelines


+ Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or denials


+ Collaborate with medical staff to obtain missing documentation or clarification on coding issues


+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records


+ Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments


+ Prepare financial reports related to billing activities



Qualifications



+ Fundamental understanding of key payers including Medicaid, Medicare and private payer


+ Familiarity with Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Charge Entry, Medicare, and Medicaid



Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
