Location: Buffalo, NY, Boston, MA, or Downtown New York.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days/week in-office, 2 days remote.
Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate data entry and submission of claims to diverse insurance providers.
Direct collaboration with insurance firms, healthcare practitioners, and patients to ensure prompt processing and payment of claims.
Proactively pursuing reimbursement from carriers through calls and meticulous documentation in Medent EMR to track progress on outstanding accounts.
Reviewing and appealing unpaid or denied claims, along with managing collections on outstanding accounts.
Verifying patient benefits and recording patient responsibilities in EMR.
Posting insurance payments (both paper and electronic) into EMR.
Overseeing accounts receivable, medical billing, collections, and posting.
Maintaining clear and courteous communication with patients and staff to uphold work efficiency.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable/Billing experience within a healthcare environment.
Advanced proficiency in Medent (Alternative experience with 4-5 other EMRs will be considered).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Epic/Cerner Certification (Strongly Preferred).
Medical Billing Certification (Strongly Preferred).
