Medical Billing Specialist - Marquee Staffing

We are looking to hire a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in working with patients to identify payment options and create payment plans. This position is responsible for translating healthcare services rendered, into a standardized medical billing code that can be used to obtain payment from insurance companies.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manages a high volume of incoming and outgoing payments for medical services.
• Interprets patient charts and medical codes to determine how much is owed.
• Submits claims to patient insurance.
• Documents billing information and maintains patient accounts.
• Investigates denied claims to ensure reconciliation as soon as possible.
• Provides customer service to patients and insurance companies.
• Mail/file/scan correspondence between facilities such as hospitals, insurance companies, and clinicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications:

• One (1) year of Medical Billing Specialist experience is required.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient with electronic health records software.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
